Building Distributions with Drupal 7
- 1 of 3
Things have come a long way over the last few years in terms of making it easy to build distributions with Drupal. Just a couple of short years ago the accepted way of building a distro was to run mysqldump, remove any sensitive data, tar up the root directory and release it. This wasn't very sustainable.
Drupal 7 treats installation profiles as first class projects, just like modules and themes. There have been a lot of changes in Drupal 7 which make it a lot easier to build and maintain Drupal based distributions.
During this session Dave will walk attendees through the process of building a Drupal distro. All code will be made available via a git repository.
